4 days in Milan & Lake Como - 1 Suitcase filled with shoes and great memories

#TheMilaneseWay should not be just an hashtag. It's just a lifestyle by the authentic people born and raised in Milan.
Few days ago, my college roommate came to visit me in Italy.
It was her fourth time in Italy, so I decided to show her the way we do it in Milan and let her live the city as a local.

After I picked her up at the airport, we jumped on my vespa and went straight for a late lunch at  Il Salumaio di Montenapoleone, there is no better place to enjoy the warm weather and have an Italian meal right next to the high end fashion street.
We then strolled around boutiques, and ended up the day at Chiosco Mentana (It’s basically a place to “be seen” where Milanesi in their 20-30s go out on Friday night).

The second day - I decided to let her live an unforgettable experience; we drove to Moltrasio and enjoyed our Lunch at Passalaqua, a luxury boutique hotel in Lake Como. We then met up with a bunch of friends, had a cocktail by the pool and head to Villa Erba for a festival: TeenageDream ! We had so much fun! The dj played music from 2YK and it was a great throwback moment.
What could surprise you is that September and early October could be the most magical time to visit Italian lakes.

Top things to do in Lake Como:
- Lunch at Mandarin oriental
- Coffee time at Villa D'Este
- Visit Villa Balbianello ( not on a weekend )
- Dinner at Le luci del lago

For her third day in Italy, I took her to a brunch party at my friend's house back in Milan. She was shocked for how many girls were wearing #friulane shoes! Literally - every girl was wearing a pair! Someone matched them to skirts, someone to a pair of black jeans, others to a boho dress... well... she noticed Italians love friulane and we can style them in different ways!

We started the fourth day enjoying a nice cappuccino at St Ambroeus . She loved it so much that we ended up getting another one at  Marchesi . Still, she was not able to tell me what was the best cappuccino between those two places.
We went to Barry's Bootcamp and later strolled around Brera. Quick snack at Jamaica and then went straight to  visit Fondazione Prada.
After a little nap at home we ended the day with a cute dinner at Casafiorichiari
