From its art museums to its touristic attractions, Milan is known as Italy’s most diverse city with stimulating rhythm that never gets "too much". Its dining and going out scenes, are always evolving and offering new inventions. Milanese people love and are so proud of their city. However, as soon as they have few days off, they escape to holiday homes and resorts. Usually, summer is for the beach, winter is for the ski resort…. and what about spring and fall? Well.. the Italian lake district is just 45 minutes away, otherwise they would head to the countryside...
This time, we are highlighting Antica Corte Pallavicina, a "relais and chateaux" located in the Polesine Parmense region of Italy, mostly known as the “aging site of Culatello”. Just 1h30 away from Milan, this place is exactly what Milanese truly love. They can truly live a special experience with a hint of luxury mixed to a rural setting.
Located into a Castle-turned-farmhouse, the relais offers a Michelin-starred restaurant, bedrooms and a Culatello museum. You can take on a bike ride and tour the farms where vegetables, culatello and poultry are made.
The service is extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is mostly local, prepared with care and presented with flair. The atmosphere is just magnifique.
It definitely deserves to be tried!
