Travel: Cap Ferrat for a weekend!

Travel: Cap Ferrat for a weekend!

Last weekend, my friends and I decided to take a spontaneous road trip to the beautiful Cap Ferrat. With our bags packed and spirits high, we jumped into the car on Friday night, ready for an unforgettable adventure.

Friday Night: The Journey Begins

Luck was on our side as we encountered no traffic on our drive. To break up the journey, we stopped for dinner in the charming town of Celle Ligure. Using the "FuoriCasello" app, we discovered a cute restaurant right by the sea. The sound of waves and the delicious food set the perfect tone for our trip. After dinner, we continued our journey and arrived at our accommodation late at night. Exhausted but excited, we decided to stay in and rest up for the adventures that awaited us on Saturday.

Saturday: Sun, Sand, and Sunset Celebrations

Morning Jog and Beach Time

We started our Saturday with an invigorating jog along the beach and pier. The fresh sea breeze and stunning views were the perfect way to wake up and energize for the day. After our run, we drove to Plage de la Passable. This beach is a hidden gem, offering a perfect spot to tan and relax. We enjoyed a lovely lunch with music playing in the background, creating a vibrant and fun atmosphere. While there, I couldn’t resist shopping and found a cute dress at the beachside shop at the club.

Afternoon Boating and Sunset Happy Hour

The beach club at Plage de la Passable was nice, and the water was crystal clear, but unfortunately, the service was less than stellar. Due to the rudeness of the servers, we decided to skip the tip. Later in the afternoon, we met up with some friends on a boat. We cruised along the coast, enjoying happy hour as we watched the sun set over the horizon. It was a magical experience, with laughter, music, and the stunning backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea.

Dinner at Eze

As night fell, we headed to Eze for dinner at Rossana, a beautiful restaurant by the beach. The combination of exquisite food, great company, and the soothing sound of the waves made for an unforgettable evening.

Sunday: Wellness and Relaxation

Morning Pilates and Brunch

We kicked off our Sunday with a pilates class, setting a peaceful and mindful tone for the day. Post-workout, we indulged in a delightful brunch at Good Place in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxing morning. Very "Copenhagen style".

Afternoon at Paloma Beach Club

After brunch, we made our way to Paloma Beach Club for another round of tanning and relaxation. The weather was not the best, but  the water was perfect for a refreshing dip. Paloma Beach has a serene and luxurious vibe, making it an ideal spot to unwind.

Dinner and Farewell

For our final meal of the trip, we dined at African Queen. The restaurant offered a unique culinary experience that was the perfect end to our getaway. With our hearts full and spirits high, we hopped back in the car and drove home late at night, already reminiscing about the fantastic weekend we had.

Conclusion

Our weekend getaway to Cap Ferrat was filled with laughter, relaxation, and unforgettable moments. From the scenic drives and beachside relaxation to the vibrant dining experiences, it was a perfect escape from the everyday hustle. If you’re looking for a blend of adventure and relaxation with friends, Cap Ferrat should definitely be on your list!
