Paros and Antiparos: A Greek Adventure of Sun, Sea, and Style

Greece, with its timeless charm and captivating beauty, never ceases to amaze. My recent trip to this Mediterranean paradise left me with a suitcase full of Friulane shoes and a treasure trove of unforgettable memories. While we explored various destinations, Paros and Antiparos emerged as the undisputed highlights of our journey.

The Mykonos Layover

Our adventure began with a clever stopover in Mykonos. Since there were no direct flights from Milan to Paros, my friends and I decided to make the most of our 24-hour layover. We kicked off our vacation with an awe-inspiring sunset at the renowned Zuma. A night of revelry on the island followed before we boarded a 30-minute ferry to our ultimate destination: Naoussa in Paros.

Naoussa: A Perfect Base

Upon arriving in Naoussa, we found ourselves a charming Airbnb just a short 5-minute stroll from the vibrant nightlife hub. It turned out to be a game-changer, offering easy access to both the bustling streets and tranquil beaches. Our days were filled with beachside tanning sessions and island exploration (don't miss the charming Parikia). Evenings were reserved for dining out with friends at the trendy bars of Naoussa, where seaside cocktails flowed freely.

Affordable Paros

What sets Paros apart from other popular Greek islands, like Mykonos, is its affordability. Restaurants offer reasonably priced delicacies, and luxury hotel suites come at a fraction of the cost you'd find on more exclusive islands. If you're in the mood for something fancy, the Cosme Hotel is a must-visit. We spent a day indulging in beachside relaxation, spa treatments, and a sumptuous lunch. The service and value for money were exceptional – highly recommended!

Antiparos: Where Magic Unfolds

While Paros is undeniably enchanting, Antiparos is where the real magic happens. It reminded me of Formentera during the off-season – an island steeped in tranquil beauty. We hopped on a ferry from Parikia to Antiparos, a mere 10-minute journey, and discovered the stunning Soros Beach. Here, we enjoyed lunch and partied with chic ladies from Manhattan and a lively group of Italians (it turns out the island is a favorite among Italians and French). The DJ's 80's tunes took me on a nostalgia trip, evoking memories of my high school days and watching "Mamma Mia!" It was cool, fun, and made me feel like Sophie in the movie!

Our day ended with an aperitivo at the Sunset Bar, a hidden Greek gem that I wholeheartedly recommend.

In conclusion, Paros and Antiparos offer an irresistible blend of sun, sea, and style. From vibrant nights in Naoussa to tranquil moments on the beaches, and the enchantment of Antiparos, these Greek islands are a must-visit for those seeking an unforgettable Mediterranean adventure. Pack your bags and get ready to create your own Greek memories – I promise, you won't be disappointed!
