How to Experience Forte dei Marmi Like a Local
How to Experience Forte dei Marmi Like a Local
Forte dei Marmi is lined with beach clubs known as "Bagni" — each with perfectly curated sand, colorful umbrellas, and a signature see-and-be-seen energy. For the full experience, head to Bagno Santa Maria, or for authentic tradition, try any Bagno around the center.
My favorites: Bagno America, Bagno Piemonte or Bagno Giovanni.

Getting Around
Join the locals and ride a bike around town — the easiest and fastest way to move. Get lost between the shining windows of boutiques: high-end brands alongside artisans and beachwear shops.
On Wednesday and Sunday, don't miss the local market in Piazza Marconi — cashmere sweatshirts, ceramics, and Italian goods.
Aperitivo Hour
For a chill aperitivo, go straight from the beach to Alle Boe next to Bagno Piero. If you're already dressed up, choose between Il Giardino, Bar Principe (renovated by Miuccia Prada), or Caffe Soldi. For sunset views, head to the rooftop of Principe Hotel.
Dinner Reservations
Reserve days in advance. For a feet-on-the-sand experience, book Bagno Ristorante Gilda or spaghetti alle vongole at Bagno Bruno.
Favorites for dinner: Trattoria Tre Stelle, Lorenzo, Maitò.
Favorites for lunch: Pizzeria Fuorirotta, Da Valè, Sanamente.

Nightlife
Forte is not famous for crazy nightclubs — it's about elegance. Celebrities at Twiga, Italian TV personalities at La Capannina di Franceschi. My favorite late-night bar: Freak Café - Marguttiana — vintage Cali vibes, live jazz, cocktails until 3am.
