A Taste of Milan: Our Favorite Brunches
A Taste of Milan: Our Favorite Brunches
Sunday brunch in Milan has become a ritual — and the city does it remarkably well. Whether you're after a classic cornetto-and-cappuccino at a neighborhood bar, or a full sit-down spread with friends, these are the addresses we return to.
For a Classic Milanese Morning
There's no better way to start a Sunday than at Bar Jamaica in Brera — a historic haunt of artists and writers since the 1950s. Order a cappuccino and a brioche and watch the neighborhood come to life. Pasticceria Cucchi in Corso Genova is another perennial favorite.
For a Full Brunch
Ratanà near Porta Nuova does a beautiful weekend brunch with Milanese classics and seasonal specials. Erba Brusca along the Naviglio Grande is ideal in summer — an urban farm restaurant with a gorgeous garden.
For Something Trendy
The Tortona and Isola districts are where newer openings tend to cluster. Orsonero is one of Milan's best specialty coffee shops and perfect for a Saturday morning ritual. In Isola, Lùbar offers a beautifully curated Sicilian-inspired breakfast.
